Downward grade trend

For junior year I had an A in physics and lit, and a B in history and french. Second semester they switched and I ended the year with a B in physics and Lit and an A in history and french. Will this reflect badly towards colleges, and make it seem like i didn't work hard, or will the upward grade trend make up for it a little.

thanks for the help.

I wouldn't call that downward grade trend. Downward grade trend is when you get all B's the second semester.

But wouldn't any kind of decline look bad, even in one or two classes?

Does your high school even send semester grades? My d's high school transcript recorded only final grades.

One is up and the other one is down. It happens to most student. They probably put more focus on the one they have Bs and not so focus on the one they have As. I think colelges are looking to see if you are slacking for the whole semester, all Bs. If you have more Bs than A compare to the previous semester than that is a downward trend but if not then I wouldn't consider it as a downgrade trend.
