Here is my GPA trend. I started taking weighted courses from 10th grade. No grade is lower than a B. SAT is 2300 and ACT is 35

Unwighted/Weighted

9th: 4.0/4.0
10th: 3.75/4.08
11th: 3.5/4.3

Overall: 3.75 / 4.13

Aiming for some ivys (Yale,Columbia)MIT/Stanford/UChicago/JHU/NorthWestern/Emory and offcourse UCLA/UCSD/UCB (in-state)

Thanks in advance.

looks like consistent performance to me. The 4.0 as a freshman is irrelevant to most adcoms. Of course your weighted courses starting sophomore year are going to result in lower un-weighted GPA, since they are twice as hard.

Anyway, adcoms at very selective colleges and Unis don’t pay attention to GPA, unless in context to your school, and your school in context with other schools. Take hard courses, do your best, and good adcoms will figure it out. Not taking hard courses is an auto-fail, so you really don’t have a lot of choice with the top 30 or so schools.

Your pattern looks to be a match to the 25-50 range in USNWR Unis, not knowing anything else about you, especially your SATs. A student who gets half As, half Bs, as you have Junior year, will end up around 10%-15% in their HS class ranking. Some of the schools you listed predominantly select students in the top 1-2% of their classes. If you are at a very difficult, selective admission, and challenging high school, then multiply that 1-2% by a factor of 5-10, depending.

edit

Disregard above. I re-read your post and see a 35 ACT and from your other post you say it is difficult for adcoms to get a read on your class rank… Given that, I’d say your match range is 20-40 in USNWR, and you will likely get into some reaches in the 10-20 range. Top 10 is tough… I mean you didn’t get As in sever al courses your Jr. year. That means you either failed to give the effort, or you are quite angular in your scholastic abilities (I am going to guess your Bs were not in STEM, but rather in History or English or Foreign Language.)

Thanks for your reply…

My SAT score is 2300 (800M/730 CR/770W + 12 essay). This was my first time taking it. Will be retaking it in Oct to bump the CR a bit

I also have SAT-II (800 MathII; 800 Chem; 770; Bio)

My ACT score is 35

Am very much concerned about GPA

I just saw your edited post.

B’s in my junior year is in English, Photo (I am not an art person to begin with - but I have to take this course to fulfill art requirement) and APUSH(1st sem).

The only STEM related B in junior yr is in Chem (2nd sem); but I have SAT-II chem (800) and AP Chem (5) to back me up.
