Dress up for preview days?

For those of you who have gone or will be going, what’s the appropriate attire?

I decided to not wear my birthday suit...

This is so vague.....city campus? Remote campus? What do you wear to high school? You will stick out no matter where you go....but you have not given enough info to respond in any helpful way.

i really dont think you need to dress up, im planning on just wearing regular school clothes

just be casual -- jeans and tshirts BUT don't wear really buffy jeans and extra large tshirts hanging out. just wear comfortablely-fit clothes.

I'm wearing my usual - jeans and a t-shirt. My dad will probably wear a nice polo and khakis.

Hey Chocoman i think you said you were coming to Penn? You must live in a suburb so it is close.......collared shirt is my recommendation.......this is a city campus and folks dress a little more than some campuses. You can of course wear a T-shirt but I personally never wear a T-shirt except for jogging and the gym....collared shirt covers all bases.

who gives a **** what you wear? did your clothes get you into penn, or was it your brains and physical ablities?

this is so inane.

Don't come to the well if you don't need a drink!

the hell does that mean...?

I'm actually from the city. Being from the city is what got me into Penn.

I wouldn't be surprised if next year I walk around campus and Penn kids give me directions to get back to Drexel's campus. :)

penn t-shirt

I went today, and I wore a plain, short-sleeved shirt with jean capri pants: basically a normal outfit that I'd wear to school. Most people seemed to be dressed appropriately casually, with some a slightly more dressed up here and there (maybe a skirt for girls, a button-down for guys). Some girls wore jeans, sunglasses, and flip flops, so practically beach attire, and they fit in fine. Some people had on their high school or Penn sweatshirts. It doesn't matter what you wear at all (you already got in!), and since you'll be on a college campus with college kids, I'd definitely try to keep it casual. Even if you try to look fancy or sophisticated, your nametag and Penn totebag will reveal your true identity as a dorky (but endearingly so) prospective student. Just wear what's comfortable. The only people who will be dressed up are the admissions officers.

Why do you think they ask for pictures?

I wore a short-sleeved shirt (not t-shirt) and jeans. :| It's casual, gosh.

I spoke to my admissions officer a little while ago - it does not matter what you wear.

As I said, youve got nothing to prove anymore.

God I feel like we've sunken to a new level of CC-dependency... now we can't even get dressed in the morning without first consulting the board!

You act like that is a bad thing. :)

I got back from the scholars preview, which included the penn preview day stuff, along with dinners and all, and it was all casual. they even said so on the info sheet we got beforehand.
