Apparently 2021 is the year of the dress for me.
I just ordered this dress. I’m hoping the sleeves are light and gauzy, not too hot for a summer dress.

My two GFs approved of the Anthropologie dress. The style is more feminine than I’m used to, but definitely fashionable.
I bought the Hawaiian blue, but the navy polka dot would meet the OPs needs.

The dress could look ok on 50+ gang. The dot print is nice, without being overpowering. Personally though I’d be too lazy to find the right bra.

I got the blue flowered one. It was back ordered, I think the pink is the only color in immediate stock.

I like this dress from Sundance, it could be a nice wedding guest option when you want to be dressy but not too dressy. Comes in petites also (always a plus for this shortee!

@deb922 I had seen that dress at Sundance and thought the same, but when I was searching for calgal, I knew she wanted short and so I didn’t mention it. I’d be tempted to buy it but I don’t need it at all. But I really like it!

I own this dress! Super flattering and actually a bit more form fitting than on the model. Mine is more navy blue.

I love both this dress and the Anthropology one you ordered. Unfortunately I think at my height they would be TOO short.
I’m trying to expand my wardrobe a little, now that I’m retired, but I’m finding it hard.
