I wanted to open a thread for those who applied to Drew University. I applied to biology major. So… yeah. If anybody out there feels like sharing some news or asking questions you are welcome here.
PS Does anybody know exact date the decisions are posted?
Hi,
https://www.drew.edu/status/login/
I checked this page today and it said I was accepted. I didn’t get an email or anything that I’m aware of (possible it went to promotions/spam but I don’t know). So looks like decisions are out, good luck!
yeah I emailed them recently and they told me they would notify me early next week. I am waiting that. Have you got any scholarship? I am really interested about Honors program.
Found out earlier this month! I’m in good luck to everyone!
Congrats @drakefan! I guess I thought they released all at the same time.
@iambibliophile yes, I got the Presidential Scholarship but the price is still rather steep so I guess I’ll see what the rest of the package looks like. Good luck when you hear!
I wonder if Honors notification comes later? So far for the other schools in NJ it has…
@ladygriff @drakefan congratulations to you both! I believe honors notification comes along with the decision.
@drakefan @ladygriff I got in too! also got into baldwin honors program
@iambibliophile - Hi - sorry I didn’t get back, somehow I missed this. I was/am in research mode but my D is doing her applications now. The tuition drop made the difference in the likelihood that we can afford it. She’s aplying to 6, 3 in NC, Marist, Syracuse, and Drew.
How’s it starting out? Any surprises? I have to admit that as the check-writing dad I’m specifically concerned with placement results.
Thanks, and good luck!
She nixed it. Too small. She’s at a charter school and wants to go somewhere large enough that not everybody knows everybody. Too bad.
This school has financial issues. Look into this before going.
Byadg123, good choice. Drew isn’t worth it. If you are going to spend the money, look at more prestigious LACs that are on a sound financial footing. Drew is trying to elevate their image but it’s the same old same old. Like many small and Lower tier colleges, they are spending recklessly. I wouldn’t trust a school that lives beyond its means. It’s risky. Ask yourself, will this college even be around in four years.
Drew is definitely a school on the rise. It had its struggles over 5 years ago but an entirely new administration is getting this school into shape quickly. Kids from across the country and world go to Drew due to its proximity to NYC, programs in NYC, and its gorgeous campus. It is really the only quality liberal arts college close to NYC.
