Hi Fencersmom.

I don't think there are any single sex dorms. However, there may be some single sex floors. Also, bathrooms (at least in D's freshman dorm) are by sex.

Cadbury, I am not so sure that there are single gender bathrooms, no matter what the official position is. When we were there on tour, there were kids of both genders in the bathroom.

fencersmother, that might be true in some dorms but my son doesn't usually see that. (the girls would never use the guys, it's dirtier) In his dorm, it works out that most of the time, it's staggered with showers, etc. so it's not that busy and they don't usually have a problem with someone wanting to grab a stall somewhere else.

Hi again.

My D is in one of the frosh dorms, and they definitely have segregated bathrooms. Based on what I've heard, though, I can't say for sure that the girls' bathroom is cleaner -- especially on the weekend.

lasercat: Did you hear yet??

does anyone know when drew admissions decisions for the dec. priority application are sent? =] fingers crossed, i think they said the 20th?

They told me 3-4 weeks after they received everything, but I can't recall the December date they were due. Do You?

got my acceptance email last night... YAY!!! =]

Congrats rcruppert!

I hope the rest of you get in regular admissions if Priority Application didn't pan out for you. Hang in there!

Hi everyone - was wondering how Drew was with financially based need. Son received some merit $ and we're very happy to get that, but need more for him to be able to go. Can anyone give me an idea of what kind of income would qualify for fin need aid and what kind of aid one might expect. Pretty sure we won't qualify under FAFSA. Thanks in advance.

Hi jillyo.

We found Drew to be very generous with financial aid. Frankly that played a major role in D going there. As I understand it, the Drew Recognition Award is some combo of need and merit. What D got in her Priority acceptance actually got bumped up a little when the full package came in the Spring. There are several other awards, including a Presidential Scholarship in the Arts which is competitive and can go as high as $10K. Check out their web page. Good luck!

Son really would like to go so hopefully we will qualify for some more fin. aid.
