Drexel or Georgia Tech?

Hi I am a Senior at a very selective all girls academy. I would like to major in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in theater or technical theater (the theater degree is not a requirement for the college I choose but it would be preferred). I am a fairly good student but I am not too naturally book smart and I have a mechanically based mind. I am dedicated to the things I love and extremely driven. My top two top choices for college are Drexel University and Georgia Tech. I love Drexel but it is WAY too close to home, but I am worried that GATech is going to be hard. My school's academics are extremely rigorous (college prep at my school = honors at a regular school, Honors at my school = AP in a regular school). No matter where I go I am doing a Co-op. Here is some info about me;

W GPA: 3.3
SAT : 1580 (only took it once with no prep, going to take it again)
Honors Track in the Sciences

Extra Curr:
FIRST Robotics (VP 3x)
Theater
Community Service
Choir

Other:
Multiple summer jobs
very strong essays
Many connections with Drexel through Alum and Networking in Robotics

I am just trying to figure out if I will A) get accepted to either of these schools, B) If I with thrive at either of these schools, C) Which is a better choice for me and D) If there are any other schools I should be looking at?

Sorry this was so long but if you have any thoughts let me know!

Both your SAT and GPA are significantly below the 25 percentile at Georgia Tech. It is a very unlikely reach for you

Gtech recently had a 33% acceptance rate last year, its a reach to high reach

In all likelihood you won’t be choosing between Drexel and Georgia Tech given that you’ll almost certainly be rejected from GT and Drexel may be something of a high match for you. Can you afford the $55,000 a year cost of attendance at Drexel? If not, know that the school is extremely stingy with financial aid, and though it may offer a token merit scholarship to entice you to enroll (not unlike how Amazon posts some bogus original price vs. their price for may products), it will not give enough aid to allow you to attend with minimal debt.
