I recently got accepted to drexel and northeastern. I got into the college of buisness at both schools. I am trying to figure out which has a better reputation, program, and overall which is a better school.

blacknight, I actually applied to both schools as well. My cousin goes to northeastern and I know many people who go there as well though. it would be easy to say since I go to Drexel that drexel is a lot better, but I really think that both schools are outstanding, either way you’ll be very well set.

What are you planning to concentrate in business? Both colleges have their advantages in certain areas. Also, where are you from? I’m from NJ and to commute from Drexel to NJ is much easier than from NJ to boston if I go home. In the end the main reason I chose Drexel was because it had an NROTC program which northeastern didn’t have and their specialized Business and Engineering Curriculum. Again, as far as reputation its a hard one.

I do know that Drexel is growing much faster than Northeastern in many areas. Especially when it comes down to simple things such as the fitness center, although Drexel’s sucks right now… Drexel’s building a state of the art fitness center to match Northeastern’s probably by the time you get here.

As far as student life goes, I know that LeBow really puts a HUGE emphasis on student life. There are just tons of business organizations and events that go on every day. Take a scroll through [Ticker (beta)](http://www.lebowticker.com)

And both Boston and Philadelphia are two great college towns to be in.

hey thanks a lot zackdude, I am from boston so I wanted to get a change and see how philly was but I wasn’t sure if it was worth it. How easy is it to transfer into other colleges at drexel?

do you mean from another college to drexel or from drexel to another college. either way its been done, and i know many students who have done it, although i wouldn’t recommend coming to drexel with plans to use it as a way to get into another college. if your transferring from drexel to another college, it would mostly depend on how many credits that other college gives you for the classes you take at drexel. since most of the freshman year classes are the same basic stuff, usually you are fine but again its usually up to the discretion of the college.

have you been down here to visit drexel? if so what did you think, if not I highly recommend coming down to see.

I meant transferring from say the college of arts and sciences to like the buisness school or the law school or something. I have been down to drexel last year but I only did an info session, once I find out my financial aid package then I will try and come down to do a tour and stuff.
