Driver's license

Can a student with Canadian driver’s license drive in the US? I don’t know if anyone can help but I’m asking just in case anyone would know about this… I really don’t want to go all the way downtown to the embassy or call them just to ask some stupid questions… thanks in advance

i was just at a NYS DMV class yesterday, and he said that with a foregin license, you can drive for up to 90 days after you enter the country, after that point you need a state license. I dont know if that applies to Canada, since foreign license might mean more like europe or south america, and i also have no idea how it works in RI. I also don't think you'll need a car in providence anyway.

They will generally accept it. Check the state's DMV for more info, of course.

how long can we drive with an out-of-state license?

Out of state pretty much forever.

Clause in the Constitution makes any contract or license in one state valid in all others. THat's why I marriage certificate from say, Nevada (Las Vegas) is as good as one from Oklahoma.
