driving instruction?

Hi,
I don't know how to drive. And recently I took a journey which took 3 hours by bus one way and that gave added incentive for me to learn to drive soon.

Can anyone recommend any place I can get driving instruction in or near UCLA? I already have a permit.

Thanks,

Westwood Driving School on Broxton. Westwood Village of course.

w.t.f. how can you not know how to drive?

I took a look at that Westwood Driving School; and it says like $100 per lesson. I'm not sure how I can afford that. Hmm...

you don't need to pay for driving instruction if you're over 18, right? so find a friend to teach you...

GrassPuppet, do you know how to drive stick? I won't get too proud for knowing how to drive an automatic.

Every american should learn to drive stick

Every American should read the Bible before going to sleep at 9:00 PM.

there's really no point knowing how to drive stick in this day and age... neither of my parents had to learn how, either, and they grew up in the midwest. with automatic cars ;)

unless you're a purist, or you have a cheap car, or you have a really expensive car, or you're a guy who likes to brag that you can drive stick by insisting that it's so important everyone should learn how...

stick FTW!

i think american drivers would be a lot better if they drove stick shift, because it forces you to think, focus and keep your hands free instead of being brain dead hitting gas brake gas brake tailgating 5 feet off someones bumper while eating a sandwich and playing with your ipod. it also forces you to be proactive and anticipate road conditions ahead of time instead of reacting to them. plus the throttle is much more sensitive, so you learn to be gentler with it instead of mindlessly taking your foot off the brake and mashing the gas (thereby wasting precious fuel).

^ ok, now that's actually the best argument i've heard for driving stick... although, i have talked to my friend on the phone while he was driving stick. idk how he did it lol.

Yeah, in my country, in order to get driver's license you have to pass the test driving stick shift... pretty much every car there is stick...

I have a Class A drivers license. I drove a semi-truck for a summer back home. Yes, I had a CB radio too. Is that good enough for you? >.>

Well said, sir.
