I dropped my biochemistry class this Monday before I knew about my admissions decision. I didn't think to inform schools about this change to my schedule right away because I thought that I had a bit of time before decisions would be finalized.

Right. Now, I've been accepted, and I'm not sure if I will be penalized because I neglected to inform WUSTL of the drop even though it happened just this week.

What should I do?

i don't think it'll be much of a problem (unless you had a really bad grade in the class)

No, I withdrew before a grade was assigned.

Thanks for replying!

Personally, I would shoot an email to someone in admissions to just let them know. That way there won't be any surprises when they get your final grade report in may/june (if I remember right, you had to tell them on your app what classes you are/plan on taking your senior year). I doubt this would be grounds for revoking admissions, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

That's exactly what I planned to do, I was just worried that the timing implied slacking off on my part after receiving an acceptance. Thank you for the reassurance.

I'm sure you will be fine. Junior year I dropped AP US History with a WP and still got into WashU early decision.

I doubt they accepted you based on the fact you were taking that particular class! Can't imagine it would have any effect on their decision to accept you.
