Dropped Micro with a "W". Will this hinder my transfer to UMD? HELP!

Ok, so I recently just dropped Microeconomics at my community college. To make a long story short, I was failing the class and realistically there wasn't much of a chance of me making a comeback, so I figured a "Withdrawn" woud look maybe a little bit better on my transcript rather than an F.

I'm trying to transfer to UMD this Fall, I'm a Maryland resident and aside from that class, I have all As and Bs. Will the "W" grade alone make them completely reject me? Is there anything I can do to make up for it? IDK. lol. I'm desperate.

So if anyone hs any answers, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks

I really don’t think they will take much notice of it.
Just say, you decided you did not have interest in the subject so you dropped.
Or microeconomics was not related to your interest of area so it was difficult.
something down that line, just be honest about it.

All As and Bs and only one W? That’s not bad at all. I had three Ws after my second semester of community college (I dropped classes due to health issues) and managed to transfer to a state university without any trouble. You’ll be okay. Stop fretting. :)
