Dropping a class in 2nd semester help!

Hi--

I got admitted to NYU for next year, and I have a question about dropping/changing a class right now in my schedule. I am currently taking AP english, Econ, Documentary Studies, Math 115 Statistics(Junior College) and Chinese 112 (Junior College).

I have taken 3 other chinese classes, 2 of which are UC transferable, and the other CSU and gotten A's in all of them. This semester the teacher decided to be an idiot, and everybody is doing horribly. The rest of my grades are fine, A's and B's, but I want to change this Chinese class (which is only CSU transferable) to either credit/no credit, or pass/fail. Would NYU have a problem with this?

Thanks.

Uh, they were fine with my completely dropping AP bio. Call and ask. Its the only way to be sure.

I dropped an AP after getting poor marks in the first semester. I sent a letter as well as called in to the school I was applying to and everything worked out.

I called and talked to an counselor. She said that she could not definitivley give me an answer, but said that it would probably be fine. She did say, that if I do that and get a D I would be put on acad. probation.
