Dropping a Class

I’m taking 7 AP classes this senior year, but I’m thinking about dropping one if possible. It’s AP World History, where the grading is far too strict no matter how hard I try, and I got an 89.1 first semester, barely missing out on a B. Plus, I’m just not into the course. It’s way too general, and I’m already taking 3 other social science classes this year. Will colleges (somewhere like William & Mary, for ex.) rescind me for swapping out APWH for something like Game Design or Film Studies, since I already applied? I’m already taking 6 other AP’s, and I for see how it would hurt me.

Barely missing on an A I meant.

I suggest you don’t swap out the course. For one, you would need to inform every college you’ve applied to of the switch. Secondly, the rigor of your course schedule would drop, and it would only harm you. And last but not least, you basically only need to pass the course second semester so that your admission won’t be revoked (there is no need at all for you to get an A in the course; a B would be perfectly acceptable second semester).

Problem is, my second semester grade isn’t available for viewing until two weeks from now, and last I checked, it was a low B. Plus, I just don’t like the class.
