I'm struggling in calculus but I think I'll be able to skimp through with a C. I've already been accepted to Notre Dame, U of Michigan, and Northeastern. I'm probably going to switch into an elective (adv. law or something like that) that's relevant to my interests. Anybody think that I'll be rescinded or something? I'm currently in 6 classes, after taking 8 last (1 more than usual). I've gotten a C before in AP Chemistry so this isn't really a dive in academic performance. Is it okay if I drop and move into something more interesting/something that I like or possibly just get a free period (that'd be 2 free periods and a teaching assistant period, haha). I plain suck at calculus and I kinda want to enjoy the rest of my senior year.

Rather than having people on this board speculate about what the adcoms might think, why not call (or have your counselor call) those schools and ask them?

This came up with my older daughter. Her guidance counselor advised that she not drop the class or that, if she did, she replace it with something equally rigorous-seeming (at least on paper, i.e., a class that looked as challenging but that was easier for her). She ended up staying in the class and squeaked through with a C.
