Dropping IB Physics second semester

I am currently a senior and am taking a IB Physics HL1 coarse. I got a C+ the first semester which is pretty low opposed to the rest of my grades (the only C ive ever gotten), and am fearful of getting a D this upcoming semester. I really want to drop this class because of the time it consumes, and the fact that my teacher is a lunatic.

What I want to know is
Would I have to report this to the rest of the colleges that I am applying to, and would that be a reason to revoke my admissions if I was to drop it. (I am applying to UCLA, UC Berkeley, and some private schools like Cornell, Upenn, etc) Or should I try to stick it out and struggle to at least get a C?

Would doing this have a drastic negative affect, or will colleges not really care because I have already completed my requirements for science?

You'd have to report it and it probably wouldn't reflect well on you. Are you even able to just drop a class like that in the middle of the year? At my school, that'd get you an F, but I guess yours could be different.

Would you just drop down to honors physics for second semester? That would not be a catastrophe. You'd have to let the colleges know but I do not think it would be an issue, since, I assume, you are not applying to be a physics major.
