Dropping Non-Required Courses Before Transferring To UC! Help!

Hello!!!!!
I have several questions and I will be grateful if you guys can help me out!

Currently I am taking only Film Studies 1 and AHIS 17 at SMC for Spring 2011 term. I only took those courses for USC requirement; however, I am planning to transfer to UCSD as I was recently admitted as a TAG student.

Now my questions is: Would it impact my admissions to UCSD if I drop all of my courses for Spring 2011 term and receive a "W"? I have already completed my IGETC and TAG requirements. In addition, I have 60+ UC units completed.

Also one more questions guys.
In my Contract for Provisional Admission it states "Remain in good academic standing in your last regular term with at least a 2.00 GPA for UC-transferable course work for that term.

If I drop all of my courses for the Spring 2011 Term, would that indicate that I have 0.00 GPA and I do not meet the "Contract for Provisional Admission"? Or would they count my Winter 2011 semester as the "LAST REGULAR TERM", which I have a 4.0 GPA?

This all might be dumb questions, but I just want to make sure everything is looking perfect.

Thanks in advance! :)

You need to call/email the UC school and get an answer. No one here can tell you for certain.

Added to the mix is that sometimes a person who gives you info from the college will make a mistake. So I think you need to minimally get the info in writing (ie: an email) to cover your backside.

Well the issue is here is that I did contact them via phone and email. However, the email statement provides me a little information towards the questions I have asked them. They stated “If you are still meeting admission requirements upon withdrawing from these courses it will not impact your admission status.” Thats about it. They did not even provide me an answer to my second question. Therefore, I am asking here.

I’m not really sure what advice to give, and I don’t want to mislead you. That being said, I was wondering what email address you used to contact them? I couldn’t find any contact info for transfer admissions and I need to inform the school of some changes as well.
thanks in advance!

You must report these changes so we can determine if you continue to meet our selection criteria.

Hope that helps. In addition, I called in and asked them all about the issue and they told me everything will be fine. However, I am still afraid! :/
