Dropping Non-Required Courses Before Transferring To UCSD! NEED HELP!

Hello!!!!!
I have several questions and I will be grateful if you guys can help me out!

Currently I am taking only Film Studies 1 and AHIS 17 at SMC for Spring 2011 term. I only took those courses for USC requirement; however, I am planning to transfer to UCSD as I was recently admitted as a TAG student.

Now my questions is: Would it impact my admissions to UCSD if I drop all of my courses for Spring 2011 term and receive a "W"? I have already completed my IGETC and TAG requirements. In addition, I have 60+ UC units completed.

Also one more questions guys.
In my Contract for Provisional Admission it states "Remain in good academic standing in your last regular term with at least a 2.00 GPA for UC-transferable course work for that term.

If I drop all of my courses for the Spring 2011 Term, would that indicate that I have 0.00 GPA and I do not meet the "Contract for Provisional Admission"? Or would they count my Winter 2011 semester as the "LAST REGULAR TERM", which I have a 4.0 GPA?

This all might be dumb questions, but I just want to make sure everything is looking perfect.

Thanks in advance! :)

You’re asking the wrong people. Call up the admissions office tomorrow and talk to them about the situation if you want an appropriate answer. All we can provide you with is speculation while they would be able to give you a solid answer

It probably would not matter since you completed all your requirements already, you should still call and double check with admissions though. I dont understand why they would MAKE you take those courses if they dont matter.

Well, I took those courses for USC; however, I am planning on transferring to UCSD. Therefore, I do not need those courses anymore and would like to drop them all.

In addition, I did speak to admissions for the 3rd time and they have told me that it is okay to drop those courses. In a way, I am still little afraid that something might happen but hopefully not!

You should call one more time and ask if they can send you an email or something to get it in writing that way if something does happen you have documented proof

They said they can not provide such statement over the email; however, I did get a name for the counselor I spoke to. Her name is Jessica, and if anything does happen than I will be able to refer to her easily.

I hope nothing happens, I am still little worried. Has anyone been in this situation?
