Dropping summer class

I want to drop my summer class, would that affect my admission or in any violate my uc condition (doesn't say anything about summer)? I just don't want to type a essay for every discussion questions, this class is uc transferable but I don't even need it, just need for my AA (which I don't know if its worth considering as I only have to do two more classes if I drop this one), I don't want to do any summer classes anymore T_T

And also if I miss the deadline to drop without a W, then getting a W ruins my admissions contract?

Edit: never mind about missing the deadline to drop, its till tomorrow

No, it shouldn’t. Call them tomorrow (or today) to let them know you’re dropping it though. You have to0 notify them ASAP.

@Laforlife thanks for the information, but I can email them right? Or should I just call (they both read the email the day after you sent them)

I dropped a calc class this summer and got a W.
I’m enrolled for it this fall though. Would that hurt my chances?

No, your taking the same class again so your fine, just report it in your application

@fredfrep

You might be able email them, but I would call if they let you. That way you can explain your situation and know that they received your message.

@Ramfan661

It won’t hurt you as long as you retake it. If you don’t, it will only hurt you if that course was major prep.
