Dropping vs Getting a D?

I was wondering if it would be be better to drop my AP Statistics class or risk staying in the class and possibly getting a “D”? Which would lower my chances of getting rescinded?
I was accepted into Fullerton and San Jose State.
I took Algebra 2 my freshman year, Math Analysis my sophomore year, AP Calculus my junior year (dropped second semester), and am taking AP Stats this year.
Please help!!

Dropping the course would be better than getting a D ;however either way you need to contact the schools and see what they say. Since it pretty late in the school year, what will your transcript show for the class if you drop??

@Gumbymom I have until next week for it to show up on my transcript, so it would not be a Withdrawn (W) unless I drop past next week.

A W would be preferable to a D. Have you fulfilled all the a-g course requirements for the CSU’s without Stats? You still have to notify all schools of the schedule change.

@Gumbymom well 4 years is suggested and the requirement is 3, and I have 2 full years and 2 half years so far since I dropped AP Calculus last year second semester.

Not sure how the half years work but since you were up to AP calculus, so you should be fine. Just notify the schools if you end up dropping. Also check with your GC.

@Gumbymom okay thank you so much! I really appreciate it.
