dropping writing?

I am signed up to take ACT + writing in June but I decided that I do not want to take the writing. Can I drop just the writing?

direct from the ACT website faq:

I've changed my mind about taking the ACT Writing Test. Can I add or remove it before the test day?

Yes. Call ACT Registration at 319/337-1270 by the late registration deadline for your test date to make the change. Fee adjustments depend on whether you are adding or removing Writing and whether other services are required to find you a seat (for example, a test center change).

If you change your mind after the deadline, tell the test supervisor at your test center what change you would like to make before you are admitted to test. If there are materials, space, and staff for the other test option, you will be able to make the change, and ACT will make the appropriate fee adjustments.

See current ACT fees for specific information.

To get a refund, you must either change your registration before the test (call them), or switch on the test day. They will send you a refund check or credit your credit card. If you switch on the test day, make sure they give you a single-sheet answer document. If you don't change your registration before the test, and you use the writing answer document (4 sheets), even if you leave it blank and leave without taking the writing test, you will not get a refund.

also, the first time I took the ACT I got a score of 10 on the writing section. I am happy with this score so assuming I will send both my scores, will colleges accept my second ACT composite score with no writing and my first writing score?
