drowziness?

Heyz everyone

I've been having this problem with taking the new practice sats. When I hit around the 8th to 10th sections, I start feeling "drowzy" and I start interpreting the questions wrong. Like for example, one of the grammar questions, I swear I had picked the right sentence (my brain apparently filled in a few words >_> ), then I later check and realize what I did wrong...

How do you guys deal with this exhaustingly long test? Coffee, red bull, more sleep?

-WiNgZ

take it in the mornings? just don't even start if you think you might be tired.

I do take it in the mornings, I START out all awake, but as I get to later sections, I start gettin "drowzy".

same happens with me too...........don know how m gonna sit for 3 and a half hours

I get two nights of good sleep, a nice cup of coffee in the morning, and a bottle of Mountain Dew under the desk lol

Are you giving yourself all the breaks you would get during the test?

I highly doubt the 5 min breaks would do me any good, can barely go to the bathroom with that.

Right now I'm thinking coffee lol.

Eat a big dinner the night before and a big breakfast the day of. This will get your energy levels up. Try to eat foods with lots of grain/whole wheat, because this will give you the longest-lasting energy. Sneak a (healthy) snack in with you on the day of the test... this isn't officially allowed, but most proctors understand and won't call you out on it as long as you make an effort to keep it hidden under the desk.

you have to be determined.

a really good tip from grammatix is to pretend that you are a sat MACHINe. just like bam, bam , bam.

it worked for me - helped me focus.

^^^^^bingo
