exactly, I'd rather have to talk to the RA about a roommate with an occasional pot habit than be stuck with some crazy who goes to bed at nine- nine-thirty on fridays- and insists upon nightly religious readings.

if you guys wanna live in an awesome and fun environment, i would definitely encourage you to apply for goddard. a lot of people aren't really drinkers, but they aren't bible thumpers either. AND, it's really close-knit.
i'm living in goddard right now, and it's been an amazing experience so far.

goddard gave out free sex toys lol

I just looked into Goddard. It seems cool.
It actually looks a bit better than 3rd North. lol

Actually, looking at them both again they both seem equally as good. But I guess you don't really know until you're there. I'm actually going to open house in October. But I don't know if they let you see any of the rooms.

They do dorm tours, yes. I think. I remember being allowed to see Hayden, so...

Just to reiterate what everyone's been saying -- no one will force their alcohol or drugs onto you. If you accept that they drink/do drugs and don't judge them for it, then they won't think you're uncool or whatever. And if they do, then you can easily find another group to hang out with, because there are about 5000 people in a class.

ohboi, when you go to the open house, make sure you take a campus tour, they brought us in weinstein and goddard. They didn't have a specific dorm tour, but was included in the campus tour.

That's great! I will do. Thanks.
And they take you to see the other schools too right? Because I'm going to the Open House for Stern and CAS on the same day.

They'll take you inside the CAS building, that's about it. They'll point out where the Stern and Tisch buildings are if you ask, it's all within the same vicinity. And they'll bring you to the Student Center and the library, which is hot stuff haha

So like, a the CAS open house they'll just show me the CAS building, and at the at the Stern open house they'll just show me the Stern building basically? (And the student center and library of course)

Oh at the open house? I'm assuming. My friend went to the Stern open house in Sept and he said it was in the Tisch Hall (which is the Stern undergrad building I think, haha. It's really confusing to call a Stern building Tisch. They just want to mess with our heads lol)

Yeah it is. I was confused at first, but excited because I want to take some classes at Tisch if I get into NYU. But then I realized it wasn't. And it's like impossible to make it the Stern, CAS, and Tisch open houses in one day. lol
