A lot, actually, there are a handful of people who smoke on campus. It can be with any number or paraphernalia.

Then again isn't that true almost in any school.

It's easier to get weed than liquor on most campuses where there are dorms, so to answer your question, pretty often.

any idea which quad seems to be the most drug friendly? im gonna be sure to stay away from them

yea, I would also like to know the dorms that are drug and alcohol friendly …so that I can also try to ‘avoid’ them.

This isn’t a big deal at all. If you live on the dorms, you might smell weed being smoked once in a while, but there is no “drug scene.” As far as parties go, they are very rare in corridor style dorms, and isolated in the suite style, so they should not bother you.

Yeah alcohol and drugs happen everywhere on campus… If you don’t want it to affect you, then don’t go do it.

There are drugs and alcohol on almost every campus across the US. IT is unfortunate that some are ranked as bigger “oparty” schools than others. Wherever yo go, you will find your niche. My son goea to SB and is neither a drinker nor smoker and has made many friends that don’t indulge with either. He has also nver complained about any excessive use on campus of either drugs or alcohol. Do not know about which dorms are more drug or alcohol friendly. Also, when you fill out the roommate preference forms , make sure you check the boxes for your prefernces (that is if you are going to be new to SB).

so for instance someone toking their bong in their room most likely would not get in any trouble? say for instance in mendelsohn?

If you want to bring a bong to stony brook so bad ill hold onto it for you, im living off campus = P
