I am a Japanese American with citizenship for both countries. Unlike some cases of dual citizens, I can speak both languages very fluently. Is this an advantage, if I want to apply to a school like dartmouth with a low number of Japanese Students?

I cant really say its an advantage.

“Is this an advantage?” As opposed to what? If you have the top grades and test scores, it’s a point of interest. But it won’t make up for uncompetitive grades and test scores.

Also, you can’t have it both ways. If you’re admitted as a US citizen, then what does the lack of Japanese domestic students have to do with you? You’ll just be another American who is fluent in another tongue.
