Dual Degree Procedure

Information for Current Wharton Students

You may choose to pursue a dual degree with the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Engineering and Applied Science or the School of Nursing. Early planning is a must in preparing for a dual degree. In order to graduate with two degrees, you must meet all of the curricular requirements of both schools. Some students complete both degrees within four years during the traditional fall/spring schedule. Other students decide to take summer courses or an additional semester for dual degree completion.

In order to apply for dual-degree status, you must complete an application at the Undergraduate Division Office. You may apply for dual-degree status at the end of your second, third, and/or fourth semesters of full-time study.

So in order for me to do dual-degree I have to get into Wharton first and then do it while im at Penn? I can't apply for that now? Because I want to do engineering and business. Thanks for your helpful input.

Perhaps you asked about Dual but meant JOINT Degree? Is that it?

you can apply for dual degree through the same process as internal transfer once you're here.

You can apply to the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology. There is a supplement application that you have to fill out if you want to apply to this program. You can indicate your back-up choice as either Engineering OR Business, in case you are not admitted to the dual-degree program.

you can do a dual degree between any of the two schools

though i've never heard of anyone doing engineering and nursing together

that's part of the reason the graduation ceremonies for seas and nursing are scheduled simultaneously
