<p>I'm a junior in high school and ucf is my first choice college. I've taken dual enrollment courses part time this past school year and plan on doing them full time my senior year as well as over this summer. I would only need one semester after high school to finish my AA.</p>
<p>I was wondering if ucf accepts all dual enrollment credits, or makes you retake some (so they can make money) like other colleges do. For example I know FSU is picky about what credits they accept.</p>
<p>This is important because it makes a difference in whether I apply for fall 2012, or just wait to get my AA and transfer spring 2013.</p>
<p>I'm referring to my sciences and then electives such as psychology, college computing and common electives of the sort.</p>
<p>I’m not going to give you a definitive answer, because the real answer is “it depends”.</p>
<p>What is really depends on is your intended major at UCF, and if those classes you took during your CC enrollment meet the qualifications for transfer credit.</p>
<p>There’s good news, almost all CC classes in the Florida State community college system transfer for credit to UCF. Additionally, all of these classes typically have the same Name and Class level number (ex, MAC 2311 is Calculus I at all Florida state schools, CC’s included).</p>
<p>My advice to you is to look at the UCF requirements for your perspective major. If they require certain classes for your major (“prerequisite classes”), be certain to take those exact same classes at the CC level. </p>
<p>Your AA will satisfy the General Education Program (GEP, referred to as “Gen-Eds”), but you still might have to take a 1000 or 2000 level class while at UCF, if you didn’t take the proper class while in CC.</p>
<p>Don’t be afraid to call UCF and ask to speak with admissions or academic advising to get the proper answer from the horse’s mouth.</p>
