I am taking Data Structures at a pretty nice private university next year as a junior in high school. Will colleges accept these credits towards my Computer Science major? And if I change my major, will it still count towards another college degree?
Depends on the college. Check with them beforehand. I’d assume they are, but at my school DC are not yet accepted out of state or something (it’s in the proccess of possible being approved). Are you trying to go to an in-state or out-of-state? Our councellor said most in-state should accept them.
Well I am in Wisconsin, but planning to attend U of M (in state tuition), so I don’t know how that works.
Contact the school and see if there’s a way to check transfer credits. If no one has tried to transfer that class, you might have to send a copy of the syllabus and the school will decide.
Okay thank you. I am hoping this will be a better option than stacking up on AP classes. Attending a real university seems so much more beneficial to me.
