Dual enrollment

I am not sure if this is the best category to put this into, but I have a question regarding dual enrollment.
Like many high schools, my school pays for students to dual enroll in classes at the local community college. Here is my problem:

When signing up for the class, I have the option to take the college class for a high school credit vs. a high scool and college credit.

By doing a high school credit, the chances of me getting the college credit accepted at an actaul college that I enroll in when I gradutate from HS is not likely. In addition the grade I receive in the college course will go onto my HS GPA.

By doing the class as a HS and college credit, the grade will NOT go onto my GPA. By doing it this way, Depending where I end up going to college, there will be a better chance of getting the credit accepted.

My issue is that I want to go to a good college, and curently my GPA is 3.75 weighted. Should I take the college class as a HS credit ONLY? That way I can work to get my A in the class, and it could help to slightly bring up my GPA. OR should I not worry about that and take it as a college and HS credit, that way I could earn the credit when I enroll into a college?

The other thing I am not totaly sure of is whether or not the colleges I am looking into would accept a community college credit under any circumstances.

Does anyone know how this works?

Just as an early example to some of the schools I am looking into-
Macalester
Lewis and Clark
Some of the Maine schools like Bates and Bowdoin
