I applied for the dual major program between schools (Olin and A&S). If I'm not accepted for the dual major thing, I would be more that happy to have one major at one school. If I'm rejected from Olin, does that mean my application will still be evaluated in terms of just A&S? Or if Olin/A&S rejects me, is that it? Thanks for your help!

I’m sure they won’t send you through two separate admissions rounds and make it all or nothing… If I were guessing, it’ll be the same as if you’d applied only to Olin, because usually dual majors are advised to enroll in the smaller of the two schools they’re interested in. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Best of luck!

Hi Schwartz,

I’m a dual-degree student in Olin and A&S. For all registration and formal purposes, you will be considered an Olin student.

I don’t have any knowledge about what the exact policies are (because the dual-degree program is kind of rare and not publicized very well, nor even structured very well–but that’s another story) but I feel like they won’t reject you from one school and accept you in another. WashU uses the same admissions criteria for all schools.
