No, I don’t think all the universities even tell the GCs about an applicant’s decision. (My GC didn’t receive any communication when I was deferred from Princeton early action)
Decision is personal and is in no way released to personnels other than the applicant. Sometimes admission offices may also post decisions to alumni interviewers or coaches.

@Volunteerism I guess it must depend on the university then.
DD was told by GC that there would be a time after decisions that the students would indicate their acceptances, scholarships, decision, etc. (wasn’t clear how exactly.)
@IzzysMom My daughter’s school collects college application and acceptance/rejection info as well thorugh Naviance, the college guidance software platform. I’m not sure if the kids put it into the system directly or the counselors do it. It seems pretty accurate when I’ve looked at the information, but I’ve often wondered if it is self-reported and what kind of quality control there is on the data. If colleges are reporting back to the GCs that would be a good check on the data.
