damn if it resembles anything in past years we should’ve gotten an email a week in advance of decisions at 7PM. Looks like decisions will be released thursday or friday of next week.
I also forgot to self-report and didn’t send through college board. I’m hoping that the grades I got in the AP classes will be enough, since a lot of colleges don’t require score reports until you’ve enrolled (for class placement)
I forgot to send ap scores too didn’t even realize that there was a spot to put them on the common app. does anyone know from previous years how much this could affect the decision? I got all A’s in every class so i’m also hoping that helps
rumor has it theres no one week email this year and could be as early as monday. can anyone confirm
Where did you hear this @hopefullyduke2022 ? Wow! That’s pretty scary.
@hopefullyduke2022 where did you hear this from? jeez
Anyone wanna guess how many ED applicants they received this year? I’m gonna go ahead and throw out 3600
It’s helpful when posting rumors/intel about this topic to say what your source is, such as "a friend called the FA office and was told . . . "
On IvyCoach (a site I obsessively check xD), it says Duke ED results will be out BY December 15th, it used to say ON December 15th on all sites. I guess that’s the difference?
i think it is probably around that, maybe less than that. We didn’t win a national champion last year so it will probably be around the normal number of about 3,200
I tend to agree with you on 3600 applicants. Penn and Yale have released there ed numbers and they are up around 15% over last year. Given that many more students are seeing the ed acceptance rates I’m sure it’s higher. I’m told Duke doesn’t release ed numbers until spring.
My son applied ED to Duke, is #3 in his class, editor of newspaper, tennis cross country, etc, etc too all AP’s available, 34 ACT, so he should be a candidate like all of you.
Here’s to wishing everyone the best, good luck to all! as the late great Tom Petty said. “the waiting is the hardest part”
Remember, it’s only college and if you have smarts and a great work ethic, and passion for your profession you will always strive and be successful no matter where you go to school.
Anyone else not able to open up their portal at the moment? Does this mean anything?
What portal? The common app portal or something else?
@FwiendGuy I hope you’re kidding
I just got into mine just fine so I don’t think it means anything @Jigglewig
Princeton EA applicants received an email today stating decisions will be released December 13th after 3 pm. Anyone get an email from duke ?
@alicat937 wait til 7PM EST
