How do you find that?
Never mind I found it it says submitted
My whole page is blank. Where do you find the parent ed agreement.
- Don't worry about it, as it seems like there is no validity to using it as a predictor of admissions as many have said we are just going to have to wait and try not to stress. :) 2. You find it in the common app.
How much do you guys think is known at this point? My guess is that 95% of the fates have been decided, maybe more.
@Obliviostar honestly that’s probably true i just wish they’d tell us sooner a lot of other schools EA/ED got moved up because they decided earlier
So I contacted my rep about complications w my interview about 2 weeks ago. We figured everything out but she told me that as of Nov. 29 NJ decisions aren’t made. She also gave me until yesterday to submit my extra rec instead of my interview so I assume that means decisions (at least for NJ) aren’t final yet.
Do you guys think it’s too late to email about extracurricular updates? I was considering emailing my admissions rep because a club I started was recently approved.
I would maybe call and ask
Does anyone know if you took the december SAT is that will delay your decision bc the last SAT they accept for ED applicants is December and idk if the scores will be released by the time of the decision
If you took the December SAT, those results won’t do you any good for ED. SAT won’t release until Friday of next week. If you get deferred and the results get better, then they’ll help for RD and other schools. Chances are, most of these decisions are now made. There will be about 875 who get accepted, and the recruited athletes and Questbridge scholars were known in early November. So, you’re looking at the remaining 600.
So assuming they are going to release decisions on the 13th, we should be getting an email sometime today letting us know exactly when decisions will be out right?
An email today would be my guess, but …
I am not too sure about the email notification. Do you know that for sure. I don’t think they will commit on the date a week before. I heard that they Twitter 1-2 days before it comes out.
I don’t really know. I’ve only heard a reference on CC to an email being sent one week beforehand.
I’m not sure that the email notification of the release dates is sent exactly one week prior.
My older daughter applied RD in 2016 and is now a junior at Pratt. She received the email at some point prior to the notification date because she knew exactly when to check the portal for the decision.
When I recently researched the ED notification dates back to 2012, I saw many references that ED applicants had received an email prior to the notification date. I wouldn’t count on it being exactly a week before, however.
Good luck to everyone!
One thing I remember clearly was the discussion on CC about the wording of the notification emails. There was a statement encouraging students to check the portal (somewhat) in private. As you can imagine, there was much discussion about whether that wording signaled rejection, and if the wording was the same on everyone’s emails. The wording did not signal rejection, by the way!
An RD applicant in the class of 2021 posted this on March 24th:
“Dear xxx,
I want to let you know that Regular Decision applicants to Duke University (and Early Decision applicants whose admissions decisions were deferred to Regular Decision) may view their admissions decisions online beginning 7:00 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. Financial Aid decisions will also be available online for those whose applications were complete.”
And then several applicants posted something similar to this:
“So did everyone get the scary email about opening the decision notification alone or is that a really bad sign?Do they actually send different emails based on your decision?”
Eventually, it was determined that everyone received the same email, regardless of the decision.
The stress is killer
@Doublekk2 Duke sends that out every year! Promise!
