I'm doing my College and Careers project (don't know if any of you have done it) where you have to pick the college and career you want in life. I've wanted to be a surgeon of some kind since I was 7 and got to see a surgery first-hand (my uncle is the head of Anesthesiology at Arnold Palmer and let me watch a surgery for my birthday), my dream college is Duke and I'm looking at their majors and don't see a Pre-Med program. I'm a little confused because I've heard Duke has one of the best Pre-Med programs in the country. Can anyone help me?

Pre-Med is often not a major. In college, you major in chem, bio, biochem/whatever, then apply to med school. Med schools don’t care what your major was as long as you fulfill their requirements. I know someone who is a triple languages major hoping to go to med school. Obviously, you want as solid a background in bio/chem courses as possible, as this is what med school consists of, but whatever floats your boat.
