These are my top two choices, but I"m still unsure...Pros/cons/opinions please?

duke is a better school. better academics, better resources…etc

I’m from Pennsylvania, and I know many people that had to make a similar decision. My ex actually had to decide between Cornell and Drexel BS/MD. She ended up choosing Drexel. She also met others that had to decide between Duke and Drexel or Penn and Drexel. I admit that I go to Duke and might be a little biased, but according to my ex and her friends, they aren’t really enjoying their time at Drexel.

According to them, you don’t have many friends outside the program, which isn’t a very diverse group (almost entirely Indian). Also, the Biology department and professors at Drexel just aren’t that good according to her. Almost all of them regret their decision. She’s told me stories of several girls crying over their decision. However, while it is not for everyone, it appears to be a great program if you want a relatively stress-free path to obtaining a MD. According to her, the classes are easy, and people don’t study all that much. Also, given University City, I’m sure if you put in extra effort, you will have a great time.

All in all, her take was if all you care about is a MD, it’s a great program, but it pales in comparison in almost every other area to a top college.
