Duke Rejection Letters - Do I have to look online?

Hey guys! I applied to Duke Early Decision, and I am fully expecting a rejection letter come December 15th. But will I only be informed of the rejection online? Will I get a letter in the mail no matter what? I'm used to the old fashioned big envelope/small envelope in the mail sort of thing. Anyone know how Duke operates?

Most schools will notify via email, with the snail mail letter following a few days behind.

i don’t know, but don’t be so negative! im sure you have a chance of being admitted. i don’t know anything about you, but i truly wish you luck! i know how it feels. im applying ED to a school i’m ninety percent sure I’ll be rejected from. I’m trying to stay positive, but realistic!

In the past - Duke posted the actual letter on-line - so you could read it - and then asked you if you also wanted to get a copy in the mail. They sent a link a few days before the 15th with more instructions on how to view the on-line decision. Good luck.

Thanks! Is it true that Duke will make the decisions available at a certain time during the day? Won’t this cause their server to crash?
