<p>Does anyone know if Duke mails acceptance/rejection letters and if they've already started mailing them? As an in-state applicant, I was hoping to know if I could receive a letter of decision before Thursday's online notification or not....

<p>I’m also in-state. My guess is they’ll be online first, and then in the mail within the coming week(s).</p>
<p>They start mailing acceptances after they have been released online. They will only snail mail you an acceptance letter - not a rejection one. Unless you haven’t checked your status online, then they will mail you the rejection letter after a certain time period. So, if you check online and get rejected, you don’t have to relive it with another rejection letter. But, no, you won’t get a letter in the mail before the online release.</p>
