I submitted in time for an interview

Idk, maybe 50% at the minimum? Getting contacted for an interview increases those projected odds. If you detailed your experience and leadership in music in any of your essays and/or recommendations, that would also increase those projected chances. I’d say 50-60%. But that’s just me, I’m a 17-year-old senior, not an admissions officer.

Well I listed the awards and discussed activities within my essays basically they are the following:
most improved jazz musician
outstanding 11th grade band member
3rd highest scorer in school on AMC 10, invited to take AIME
ap scholar
I feel like there was another, but can’t remember what

It’s really as simple as that. I was in East Chapel Hill High School in North Carolina for my freshmen year and everyone viewed Duke and UNC as safeties. However, after I moved to South Dakota, Duke was like “Harvard-status” and UNC was like Columbia status, its really crazy how much preference these two colleges give to instate students, and the stats on their online pages prove it.
