Duke vs. WashU

<p>Just what it says. This decision is driving me crazy. What do y'all think?
Ignoring finances that is.
I visited Duke in October... I visit WashU this week.</p>

<p>Duke Pros:
It's DUKE. The name/prestige just has a great ring to it.
I absolutely love the school spirit.
'Stronger' program in my major (biomed. engineering). But at this level is there really such a difference?
LOVE the campus (and I felt like I was walking around Hogwarts...)</p>

<p>WashU Pros:
Still definitely has a name.
5 year b.s./m.s. program - much cheaper/easier for grad school if I chose that option.
Has a gymnastics club rather than varsity- I'd be able to compete.
Has an art school - and a darkroom on the South 40.</p>

<p>Follow your heart. You seem to like Duke a LOT more. </p>

<p>And I'd have to agree with you. Duke does have more of a name (and a more fun campus vibe). :)</p>

<p>It's just some days I absolutely love Duke and couldn't even consider WashU, yet other days it's the exact opposite...
I guess I'm afraid I'll choose Duke just to make my Dad happy. At least I don't think I could make the wrong choice here.</p>
