<p>Got a 700 the first time. Did all Blue Book practice tests. Highest score on those was a 740. Showed up test day, missed 2 and got an 800. Total luck.</p>
<p>Haha. I have a similar experience on the writing section of the PSAT/SAT.</p>
<p>9th: 80
10th: 77
11th:76
12th: (SAT) 710 (71/80 raw for MC)</p>
<p>As for the original topic, I got an 800 in CR both times I took the SAT, but I've always been a relatively voracious reader in general.</p>
<p>Hahha yeahhh, "lucky" being the operative word...on my PSATs and all my practice tests I did miserably on CR, then I got my results back and got an 800. I got a Princeton Review book and looked at their strategies...it definitely helped . Good luck!!!</p>

<p>se the thing is you say miserably... but that miserable is probly somehwere beween 680 and 740. That may be miserable for you... but for me.......... thats my goal</p>
