I'm from Brazil, and I'm interested in applying for Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Is it a good University? And about Pittsburgh, is a good place to study and live for na international student? What's living there like?

Pittsburgh is a great city. Compared to Brazil, it’d seem gray and cold, though, and very dry in the Winter. But it’s really interesting, with lots of things to do. Duquesne is a decent university. Pitt - the University of Pittsburgh- is a better university, and it has good merit aid if you have excellent stats. In Pittsburgh, you also have Carnegie Mellon (no FA for internationals though), Chatham (women only).

Within roughly 1-2 hours of Pittsburgh, you have Allegheny College, Washington&Jefferson, Westminster, Slippery Rock University…

Pittsburgh is a very nice city, but @MYOS1634 said, it’ll be gray, cold, and rainy. Bring a very warm jacket.

Duquesne is nice. It’s near the financial district as well, but it is pretty isolated as it’s own campus. There are beautiful views of the rivers, but be prepared to walk up a lot of hills. I can’t remember what neighborhood it’s in (Uptown?)

It is a good university, and they give out lots of aid for citizens, you’d have to check their website for internationals.
What is it you want to major in? It has a great music program and a great pharmacy program.
