<p>As a freshman, I don’t think I’m in the right position to make that judgment yet, nor have I yet amassed the information needed to give you a nuanced argument on the pros and cons. I’m sorry. :(</p>
<p>Keile, out of curiosity, did you attend an Ivy League institution or one of equal/greater caliber?</p>

<p>This holds true only in a limited sense. Furthermore, many students who will eventually go on to pursue professional studies won’t really rely on the “prestige” of their undergraduate institution to get a job - it’ll be the institution that granted them their professional degree that will matter. I have yet to see a doctor’s office where the undergraduate diploma is given more prominence than that for medical school.</p>
