EA Applicants class of 2015

Krug–did admissions tell you to look for the “your application is complete” email this weekend? (the one they forgot to send) or did admissions tell you to look in your email this weekend to find out whether your S got in or not?

How does some one forget to send a mass email?

I cannot answer the question of how Case admission did not do their job. I wonder how many pieces of information go missing in a very hectic time for all admission offices.

I was told that my S file is complete and this weekend is the release of the decision. This is information from one admission counselor and I have some concern in regard to the efficiency of Case’s admission. Let’s hope our case was an isolated incidence.

I called Case back in mid-november regarding the fact that I hadn’t received any type of application notification yet (I applied back in mid october) and they said they’d send one in a few days. Still never came. They did say that my app is complete though, but I suppose it’s all just getting to hectic for them that they can’t send out mass emails efficiently.
krug, did they say they’d send out admission decisions this weekend? Or just for your son? On their site it says the notifications would be out by the 15th.

Admission’s exact word is: “Make sure to check your spam folder this weekend because we hope that emails will be sent out with decisions information”. What defines as information decision, log in ID or the acceptances/rejections is up for interpretation. The other key word is HOPE!

I just realized how close this weekend in. Now anticipation sets in.

Good luck guys. I’m really hoping the actual decisions come out this weekend & not just some login info.

I’m sure most schools “hope” to get decisions out early, but don’t count on anything being released until the originally published date (here, 12/15).

where did people get this message saying decisions would be out this weekend?

This is from upthread:

There are more details in subsequent posts.

Do you need better stats and a stronger application to get in EA or RD? What I am getting at is does CWRU only accept the very top applicants for EA, or would someone who would get in RD easily get in EA? I think I have the stats for RD, but am hoping to not get deferred.
Does anyone also know how many people get deferred, and how many of them get in RD?
Thanks

I believe their early action acceptance rate is about 10 or 11% higher than their RD acceptance rate. Their regular acceptance rate itself is pretty high since the school has a self-selecting applicant pool so I’m sure you guys would get in easy.

Typically, what would get you in RD would get you in EA. The acceptance rate is higher for EA because they are better qualified than the overall RD pool. You’ll all know soon.
GOOD LUCK!!!

Does Case admit based on major choice? I heard that they don’t and that they just admit students into the university as a whole for whatever major they choose. But I would imagine that this would make the BME department very large

Case uses a single door admission policy, so admission is decided regardless of intended major, and admitted students may start out pursuing any major they choose.

no emails yet this weekend. I’m assuming they’ll just let us know by the 15th. anyone get decisions already?

No not yet. hopefully before the 15th though.

Nothing for me yet either… Hopefully something will come soon, only 3 days until the 15th! Is this anyone else’s #1?

Case is my first choice. Still waiting for an e-mail.

case is my #1 or #2. Still waiting on georgia tech also so we’ll see what happens.
What major are you guys going for? I’m applying for BME
