Hi everyone. Just to add to the whole New York thing, I am with you!! From NY. And since I'm from the city, and city to city mail is reaaaally fast, I'm almost positive that the letter has been sitting in the mailroom of my building, but the stupid people don't work on weekends. DAMN weekends! So I'll have to wait till I get home from school. Very annoying. Well I'm pretty sure I know what it's gonna say anyway. Oh well.

Does anyone actually know the order of how selective the different colleges are? I always thought that SFS was the hardest, and SNHS was the easiest, but I was talking to my Spanish teacher the other day and he told me that the FLL was the hardest program/school to get into. Anyone know if that has any truth to it? If so, I'm most likely screwed.

SFS is easier than Col is easier than MSB is easier than SNHS.

For FLL, it depends. If you are really good with a full background in your prospective language, then that makes it easier to get in (i.e. being extraordinarily advanced in your language can make up for other shortcomings). However, if you apply as a language major, but are lacking in that area, then that is weighted extra heavily against you.

In conclusion, if you are good at the language you want to major in, then it is easier to get in. If you aren't so good at the language you want to major in, then you would have been better off applying as a different major.

please tell me what FLL is, i feel like an idiot

something to do with languages, i assume

Faculty of Languages and Linguistics, I believe. It's a division of the college.

Uhm. Calidan, it should be more like this:

** Statistics Wise: **

< = is easier than
SNHS < MSB < SFS < COL

** In Reality : **
SNHS < MSB < COL < SFS

:-)..

There. :-P

OOPS! I did it completely backwards! I swear I'm dyslexic or something. How embarassing. :o I can't believe I did that.

And I want to go to Georgetown. Geez.

So I should be getting the mail in about 20 minutes...

The mail is late! Of all days......daughter and I are just sitting here waiting.....Was surprised noone else has posted results yet from the east coast. Waiting nervously....

Kiki, I'm so sorry, but keep your head up! Your stats are amazing, I can't imagine either what else they wanted. Stay strong.

OMG. The mailman just came. I'm hyperventilating.

Thanks red, I appreciate your comment. Georgetown is not my 1st choice, but it was up there and I'm pretty disappointed to have been deferred, I thought I was an ideal candidate for McDonough. I hope there's better news in April. :)

Ugh! Mail just came but nothing from Georgetown today! This is torture! I hate this waiting! We are in Clearwater, Florida, for those wondering.

OMG!!! OMG!!! OMG!!! OMG!!! OMG!!!!!

So, I went to the mailbox, flipped it up...no colored sheet.

Hells yeah! It took a few moments to sink in, but it's hit me since then. I'm a Hoya! Man, this is so great.
