got in UGA EA with 1190 on New Sat and 1450 on the Old Sat. don’t give up because of test scores because who knows what god can do!

Has anybody still not gotten there physical acceptance letter? I was accepted EA last Friday and am from Florida, but I still haven’t gotten the actual letter. Funny, I got my online Tulane acceptance Thursday and the physical letter the next day 
I was accepted from Maryland EA and i still havent gotten mine either @thefloridavegan
We live 40 minutes from UGA and STILL haven’t gotten the physical acceptance letter. Very unnerving!!!
Scholarship question. My son got the Classic Scholars Award, which is a 50 percent waiver of the OOS fee. Realistically this isn’t going to work for us, as he has a couple of tuition-free options. I know that he could still get the Ramsey or Fellowship, but realistically if he were in the running for these I would guess he would have gotten a full OOS waiver. FWIW, he has great stats, 35 ACT, 3.94/4.3 g.p.a., but weak leadership or community service.
Is the Classic Scholars Award ever increased for those not qualifying for Ramsey/Fellowship? My son is really interested in UGA, but as a parent I’ve got to look at the bottom line.
I would assume that its not increased (based on my personal experience and personal knowledge of UGA Scholarships), but I don’t know for sure since I’m not OOS.
However, if he has full tuition options, that would be ideal beyond doubt. What schools did he get full tution
I would definitely commend you for looking at cost going forward. Loans aren’t worth it and undergrad institution isn’t as important as what HS Seniors make it out to be. Could I ask what your son is studying?
I’d say possible but unlikely. I don’t know for sure though. I hope that I’m wrong and you end up getting an increase in scholarship.
