EA Class of 2022

@TomSrOfBoston I am still waiting in South Carolina, but I’m curious as to why you think people with 36’s and 1590’s are getting rejected, but people with 30’s and 1300’s are getting accepted? If they both have strong EC’s what separates them?

Accepted in NY to College of Science. 1560 SAT and 4.0 UW. Got a scholarship and Honors College too!

I’m from California what time will I hear back?

wonder when they’ll post the EA acceptance rate, seems like it must be lower than last year

@aast2018 Yield protection.

@Momtofourkids all the deferrals are due to students applying to 20+ schools. It’s seriously getting out of hand…

At this rate, is a rejection better than a deferral… got deferred too??

Nothing in Michigan yet

Accepted CS/Comp Eng, 1510 SAT, 3.9UW/4.3W (approximately… school uses a different scale so this is a conversion); 12k/yr scholarship.
A little disappointed that I didn’t make honors, but there’s always the fall to apply, if I go. Congrats to those accepted!

Are all the decisions out?

how was the ea acceptance rate last year compared to the RD rate?

Northeastern EA applicants: perfect sat, 6.0 gpa, varsity captain, NHS president, saved the world, volunteered globally, started a famous non profit, donated $193839392394 to charity
northeastern: yup… deferred!

NJ
SAT: 1360
GPA: 4.0
Major: CS/CE
Decision: Deferred
App:
-3 in school extra curriculars
-1 job
-NHS
-1 community service (hockey coach)
-1 out of school sports team
-probably average essay

@aast2018 Not all GPA’s are created equal(differences in courseloads and quality of high school) and not all majors are as competitive as others. Just to name a couple of the reasons for discrepancies in acceptances based on stats.

Deferred…wow I thought I would have this in the bag. Everyone in my naviance with similar stats got accepted. I don’t know why this happened

S accepted to CS from MA (very relieved & happy); Deans 22k/yr; no Honors offered
4.0UW/4.6W; 1590 SAT; 800 Math II;
The rationale for deferrals is not clear, but I suspect most deferrals have a high % chance for RD accept (my S has heard of it from others in prior years).

@bethanylm291 My bad. She has received all her info through the portal so far. First she received an email telling her to check the portal. Both acceptance letter and scholarship information in letter format but through the portal.

@Tennisboy2022 No, regional waves. I haven’t seen anything on this thread from the south or west of PA.

I got the honors scholarship but nothing saying that I got into the honors college. What does this mean??

Accepted w/ Dean’s Scholarship ($18k per year) to College of Sciences under a bio degree
ACT: 33
GPA W: 4.980
GPA UW: 4.0
Bunch of extracurriculars/leadership positions and first generation American
