EA deadline for submitting ACT scores?

I’m doing a November 1st EA. My ACT score came earlier this month, but my writing hasn’t yet. I’m wondering—how do most colleges handle test score submission? I’ve searched the website of my early school and I can’t find any information regarding the final deadline for submitting ACT scores (or SAT—doesn’t matter, really). Basically, my question is this: does the school need to have my scores by November 1st or do I simply need to report them by that date? Please advise. My school is Yale—if you can find something on their website that I missed, I’d be interested in taking a look. (Note that I emailed them yesterday afternoon but I haven’t heard back yet. I’ll report back when I hear.)

Thanks, CC!

The school usually has list the deadline date for all standardized testing and most of the time it’s after November 1st. Some might specifically say “October testing will be counted.” Each college is different, so you should research on their “Deadlines” page. If it isn’t listed there, you can email or call the school’s admissions.

Yale is totally unclear on their policy. On this page, http://admissions.yale.edu/standardized-testing they say that “Scores must be reported officially to Yale directly from the appropriate test agency by the application deadline”, but right after that they say that the last possible test date for SCEA for the SAT is November.
