MIT says that the EA decision date is "mid-december" on a day they'll eventually announce. Does anyone know when they announce the official EA decision date? I'm really anxious.

(I submitted my application last night, btw.)

The admissions officers won't know when they'll be able to release decisions until they've gotten partway through selection, which usually starts December 1. IIRC, the official decision date is usually announced around the end of the first week of December.

You can look back through Matt's blog to see when the decision date has been for the past four EA seasons, although past performance is not a guarantee of future results.

(And hey, is your name Mollie with an "ie"? Because if it is, I definitely think you should get in. :))

Thanks for your reply :) I'm so nervous for that date.

My name is actually "Molly" not "Mollie"- I went through a four or five year period in which I decided I liked "ie" better (but then realized that it was dumb, since legally, it was with a "y").

Last year it was 12/15, and I believe this is the usual target date. As Mollie noted, though, it can vary for many reasons.
