EA Decision Letter

If December 15th is the date that you find out acceptance/denial/deferral for EA, does that mean that they mail out the letters on that day? I've also heard that they email on December 15th, is that true (that would be awesome...)?

GREAT question. Anybody???

Hard copies came in the mail a few days later.

I had another question about something I overheard at school the other day. Assuming you don't check online, what would the envelope look like if you received it via snail mail? Would it be a big packet if you got accepted and a small letter if you got deferred/waitlisted?

Yes the acceptance envelope was so huge that my postman left us a note to pick it up at the station because it wouldn't fit my mailbox. And the rejection letter is one of those 41 cents envelopes.

Yeah I heard the same as what googol123 said. My friend told me that if your accepted you get a huge packet with all the info, if not, you get the regular envelopes. Im gonna hope I see a very big envelope, hopefully with a few dollars worth in stamps :)

Well that sucks, there won't even be the suspense of opening the envelope. I'll know as soon as I pick up the mail in about a month.

not always... my friend got into brown EA and the acceptance letter was just a quaint little letter

but 2 days later he got a massive package with all this info...

so i dont know.. they might be deceitful or they may just be honest..

i would like honest rather...

it varies by school, and for all you know Stanford may change their ways this year. So don't throw out a thin letter without reading it! :)

Anyone planning on waiting for the letter instead of looking online...?

how do you look online with stanford?
