EA notification for Class of 2014

Son received acceptance today.

Decision: Accepted
Major: Mathematics (might double with/switch to Comp Sci)

Stats:

SAT: M770 CR610 W730

GPA: 3.19

Rank: top half or quarter?

Other stats: 5 on AP Calc, 5 on AP Comp Sci A, 4 on Comp Sci AB (our class was given this test by accident–we only studied for A)

Subjective:

Essays: Maybe a bit unorthodox. I actually talked about how I failed IB French sophomore year, and am taking it again.

Location/Person:

State or Country: Maryland

School Type: Public

Ethnicity: White

Gender: Male

I received a $5,000 Chancellor’s Award Scholarship

It’s good to see other Math/Comp Sci acceptees here. I’m almost positive this school is my top choice, and have not applied any where else yet (I might also apply to UMBC).

Accepted into Sports Management program with $5,000 Chancellor’s Award Scholarship

@andrew1123, why is umass your top choice? UMaryland@college park has a stronger cs and math program (one of the google founders emerged from there among others) than umass (and a better price as well). UMBC also has good programs and is significantly cheaper

Accepted. $5,000/year merit.

OOS
3.5, 27 ACT

School does not rank and GPA has no adjustments for honors/AP, etc

I really like this place.

MSUDad…Congrats.
